RICHFIELD, Ohio — A woman died and several people were hurt Tuesday morning after 16 vehicles crashed on the Ohio Turnpike in northern Summit County, according to the State Highway Patrol.

Ciearra Money Audrey Brown, 21, of Medina died at the scene, the State Highway Patrol said in a news release. She had been driving a 2019 Nissan four-door sedan.

The pileup crash happened around 8:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-80 through a single-lane construction zone between the Richfield and Broadview Heights exits, the State Highway Patrol said.

The crash was caused, in part, by reduced visibility due to heavy snow, troopers said.

Crews from Ohio Turnpike Maintenance and the Brecksville police and fire departments were on the scene.

No one has been cited in connection with the crash, the State Highway Patrol said.
