Sources say a suspect in the Times Square shooting that left a 4-year-old girl and two women injured has been taken into custody in Jacksonville, Fla.

Farrakhan Muhammad was said to have been in his car when it ran out of fuel due to gas station closures in Florida, sources say. That’s when he was found and taken into custody.

Police have been searching for Farrakhan Muhammad since the shooting last weekend in Times Square.

On Saturday, a dispute led to a person pulling out a gun and firing it, though it appears the victims were innocent bystanders and did not know each other, according to Police Commissioner Dermot Shea.

At the time of the incident, the NYPD said all three females were transported to Bellevue Hospital.

The 4-year-old girl, who was shot in the leg and needed surgery, was said to have been toy shopping, according to police.

A 23-year-old visiting from Rhode Island was also shot in the leg, and a 43-year-old woman from New Jersey was shot in the foot, officials said.

As a result of the shooting, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday that more police officers were being deployed to Times Square.
