A suspect was arrested Monday after three people were killed in a shooting in Austin, Texas, over the weekend. According to police, the suspect was arrested Monday morning outside Austin after two people spotted him and notified authorities, CBS affiliate KEYE-TV reports.
Police identified the suspect as Stephen Broderick, 41.
Austin assistant police Chief Joe Chacon said at a press conference Sunday afternoon that police responded to a call of a shooting around 11:45 a.m. CT that morning and found two women and one man injured. They later died, he said.
The preliminary indication was that the suspect knew the victims.
